Beetroots, commonly known as beets, are a popular root vegetable used in many cuisines around the world.
Beets are packed with essential vitamins, minerals and plant compounds, some of which have medicinal properties.
What’s more, they are delicious and easy to add to your diet. Some like to eat them raw, some like to eat them cooked, some don’t like them at all. Everyone has their own preference so we can’t judge them right?
Kale also is loved by some and due to its curly green leaves that gives a bitter taste, hated by others. It’s considered to be one of the superfoods that is a must have in your shopping cart. Kale is rich in vitamins, minerals, fibre and protein. This can be consumed raw, or cooked, again whatever you fancy.
Now wouldn’t a perfect combination of these two plus a few more magically delicious ingredients create something yummy? Well it sure did.
One day as I was trying to look up some yummy smoothie ideas (was getting bored with my basic green smoothies) I happened to come across this utterly delicious recipe with wait for it…. beetroot, kale and other amazing yumminess. I was blown away.
Not only was it super duper delicious, it was high in vitamins and extra nutrition. Its now become a popular drink in my household.
You should also try out the “Red Beet Smoothie with Kale and Fruits” The recipe does say to use a Vitamix Blender, but any Speed Blender could do the trick.
